Windows Phone Implementation

I saw your message on the XDA-developers forums about implementing a version for WP8. I have gone ahead and made a version that should work for both WP7.x and WP8. It is currently untested, but it was heavily based on the android implementation so it should work!

I don't know what you would want me to do with it now, I don't have much experience with github, so any suggestions!

Just had a quick look at your code - does it always return 800x480 for resolution or does it dynamically take it from OS?

Yes it always returns 800x480 since that is the only supported resolution for WP7.x, and with no SDK for WP8 which has multiple resolutions, this seemed the best solution for now

I don't have any WP7 or 8 atm, so is it possible that we generate you a key, and then you test it a few times with our servers? Then we can put it as an experimental solution on Github, and wait for others to comment on it.

Yeah that would work, I have a physical device that I can test it on with one of the latest builds, so it won't be just emulator tested.

Glad to hear that. Onur is currently taking care of all demo related things, and he's on a vacation. Will get it ready by this weekend at most.

Wanted to know if there was any progress with getting me server access. I've got my code into a better spot than what I originally put up, but I can only do so much without server access.

    Hi Tom,

I'll arrange an account for you in our demo server and let you know afterwards.

I have sent you an account from our demo server. Let me know if you need anything else.

Everything seems to be running fine, although I haven't seen any change in the statistics on the site... Is the server url "" or something else?

Also, I managed to make the resolution determination dynamic, so it should be ready for multiple resolutions (Windows Phone 8).

It works! I don't know if the thread survives long enough to broadcast the closing event, but everything else seems fine.

I think you've already done this but you should send the request to my previous comment is wrong.

I can help you identify whether the session end is received from the API side.

Tom: Since Countly supports events, is it possible to add this feature to your SDK? We have been asked several times for event support for WP7,8. :)

If you need technical assistance, we'd be glad to help!

I was actually looking at the event stuff the other day and did a quick implementation... It's untested, but i see no reason i shouldn't work. You or anyone can grab my sdk here

Thanks Tom. Do you want me to put it on Github and give you write access together with proper attribution?
