Getting set up on AWS

I'm trying to get Count.ly running on an EC2 instance. I used the Bitnami MongoDB image and got the error below which I assume is to do with incorrect privileges. I also tried using a bare Ubuntu AMI and got a 502 error when accessing (installation process seemed to hang).

2017-11-24T06:34:32.703Z: ERROR [db:read] Error reading apps {"name":"find","args":[null]} MongoError: not authorized on countly to execute command { find: "apps", filter: {} } {"name":"MongoError","message":"not authorized on countly to execute command { find: \"apps\", filter: {} }","ok":0,"errmsg":"not authorized on countly to execute command { find: \"apps\", filter: {} }","code":13,"codeName":"Unauthorized"}

Can someone provide instructions for getting Count.ly set up on EC2? I've just been SSHing in and using:

sudo su -
wget -qO- http://c.ly/install | bash

  • Hello,
    in the first case it seems that there are some kind of presets for users in MongoDB and you need to also configure this authentication in countly configs to be able to connect to MongoDB

    For second case using bare Ubuntu image, it should have work, we are always using clean Ubuntu sets in our tests and prod environments. You say in that case you got 502 error. Can you provide logs for countly from countly/logs/ folder?
