Wrong user numbers in Reports and Notifications

I followed the email reports and the notifications (icon with the little bell) for several weeks now and the reported numbers don't make sense to me at all.

Notifications: The notifications show the number of users for the current week and for the last week. But never the value for the last week matches the number of the current week from the report one week ago. The value is not even close, I saw differences of the last week value being 2.5x higher than the value of the last week and they should be same, as this is the same time period. And we are talking about ten thousands of users here. This is very disturbing. Still in dashboard number of users remains on a constant level, so basically no big change.

Email Reports: Numbers of users look realistic here, but the value of the change is completely wrong. -57.9% when it was -3.1%; +27.1% when it was +9.2%.

These wrong change percentages apply to all values I checked, users, sessions, events. Only Avg. Time Spent (min) seems to be calculated right.

Are these issues known and is there any plan to fix them? I like Countly, still the reports are more disturbing than helpful and they would be great for a quick health check on the numbers.

Thanks for your help

  • Hi Bernhard

Could you please inform us if the email report metrics like session count matches with the value of sessions on the Countly dashboard home view (from the same selected period)?

  • Actually they don't match. And it seems the comparison between them and the numbers from the email also the changes match. What do I need to change to see the correct numbers?
