Is there possible ways to grant permissions that don't depend on the dashboard creator?
Using enterprise edition, we have the following query.
Currently we see that only the creator of a dashboard can give others the permissions to view or edit the dashboard. But if the creator leaves the team no one can give new team members the necessary permissions. Is there already a system for granting view/edit permissions to team members, regardless of who created the dashboard existing? Please help.

Hi Sayed,
Global Admins can follow the below instructions to edit a Dashboard sharing config.
1- As a Global Admin account, open the specific dashboard you want to edit permissions;
2- Click on the arrow to display the dropdown menu:
3- Edit the Dashboard sharing permissions:

So the Global admin can:
1) Can edit permission rights of any of the dashboards? even if the access right is not given to the global admin by the dashboard creator? (I am confused due to the line here "What user can do with public shared dashboard depends on permissions given for that dashboard (edit or view only) which is separate from roles."
2) Delete any dashboard even if the edit right is not given by the dashboard creator?
3) Can there be multiple global admins?
Hi Sayed, answering your questions:
1) Can edit permission rights of any of the dashboards? Even if the access right is not given to the global admin by the dashboard creator?
- Yes, a global admin can edit permission rights of all dashboards.
2) Delete any dashboard even if the edit right is not given by the dashboard creator?
- Yes, A Global Admin can delete any dashboard, no matter who created it.
3) Can there be multiple global admins?
- Yes, you can have multiple Global Admins, but, as you see, it is a sensitive role, so we recommend a previous analysis to who should really have Global Admin permission.
Finally, regarding this sentence:
"I am confused due to the line here "What user can do with public shared dashboard depends on permissions given for that dashboard (edit or view only) which is separate from roles."
It is related to permissions that you can set on creating a dashboard:
Those conditions do not apply to Global Admins, as they have total access.
So, for example, this case:
1- A user created a Dashboard X;
2- Shared that Dashboard X with an Admin account with View Only permission;
3- Then the Admin tried to delete the dashboard, but he was not allowed to perform that action, so he received the following message:
Please let me know if the explanation is clear.
Thanks for such a clear explanation @....
