Weird behaviour of Countly push events

When pushing custom event to countly, i see that post request to my countly server runs with 200, yet i can not see that event was triggered today in same time in "All Events" section.

I am tracking users visiting their personal page, so i have created a custom event for that case, I see this event in the list of all events, i see in the browser console that countly sdk posted it to the server, yet I don't see that it was triggered today.

Yet in the visitor profile section, I am able to see these users visiting my application and data is updated in real time.

Can anyone explain how it works?

Also i am not sure but a week ago everything was working fine.

Also i can see all API calls in my console in Countly, yet no data on dashboard for this custom event.

  • Hi Andrii, can you see that event in Drill?

    Also, is it possible that the user is in another timezone? Or the timezones are the same?

  • Hi Kevin, yes the user is in a different time zone for sure, i have tried to execute the query in drill section yet i can not find my custom event name there.

    I have checked my Dashboard in all events section and it seems the event was not recorded yet

    I have changed APP timezone to be the same as the users, yet still do not see the data on dashboard, and still see in countly logs that the request where successfully called

    Also, please note that the default "PAGE VIEWS" related events are working in real time update mode, i can see page visits right away.

  • So you're only being able to see those custom events only in the logs right?

    Also, could you please send us how the full information on how that record looks? (Like sending us a screenshot showing all sent fields (you can blur the sensitive fields).

    Our first guess is that each event needs to have a count.  at least: count:1.

    Like:

    "events": [
        {
          "key": "YOUREVENTNAME",
          "count": 1,
          ....
          "segmentation": {
            .....
          }
        },

  • I need to set this count myself or will it be set by the Countly app? There is a count prop yet I don't think it is changing, also please note that I believe that it was working fine, not sure how it can help though.

    From time to time i am able to see events on dashboard yet only 1 or 2, yet i have produced in logs tons of them
